Batavia - Mr. Paul L. Tomski, 70, of Batavia, tool and die maker at Rochester Products - Division of General Motors in Rochester, passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Roswell Park Cancer Institute.
Born May 22, 1942 in Batavia, Paul is a son of Helen Zeremski Tomski of Batavia and the late Max Tomski.
A member of the VFW Post No. 1602, American Legion Post No. 332 and the Polish Falcons Nest 493, Paul was faithful in attending Mass at St. Mary's Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking and walking. He took pleasure in the outdoors and loved being outside, especially with his grandchildren.
He served with the United States Navy from 1961-1966.
Surviving along with his mother are his wife of 43 years, Donna Rosenthal Tomski; two daughters, Kimberly (Ronald) Chatt of Lockport and Pamela Tomski of Washington, D.C.; four grandchildren, Sarah, Brian, Heidi and Heather Chatt, all of Lockport; two brothers, Dennis (Margaret) Tomski and Lucian (Maureen) Tomski, both of Florida; a sister, Maxine (George Tomaselli) Parada of Medina and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Paul's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, 18 Ellicott Street, Batavia. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.
