Batavia - Mr. Michael J. Bohn, Sr., 70, the owner of Bohn's Restaurant and Lounge, died Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Unity Hospital, in Rochester. Mr. Bohn also owned the former Red Barn and Gentner's Restaurants, both located in Batavia.



Mr. Bohn was born October 13, 1942 in Buffalo, the son of the late Elmo and Mary (Cogswell) Bohn.



He was a member of Resurrection Parish, formerly an active member of the Batavia Jaycees, member and past Exalted Ruler of the BPO Elks and member and past president of the Batavia Board of Education. For 27 years he provided contract food services at Genesee Community College.



Surviving is his wife, Eva L. Bohn; three sons, Michael J. (Rose) Bohn, Jr., Mark F. (Leanne) Bohn and David M. (Chris) Bohn; two daughters, Darlene (Scott) Naparstek and Kathleen A. (Richard) Maniace; five brothers, Ronald Bohn, Kevin (Ann) Bohn, Roger (Sandy) Bohn, James (Elizabeth) Bohn and John (Colleen) Bohn; two sisters, Barbara Rogers and Virginia Bohn; two step daughters, Lynn M. Carleton and Jean E. Young and a brother in law, Joseph Gallo. Also survived by 21 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.



Mr. Bohn was the brother of the late Kathleen Gallo and the brother in law of the late Richard Rogers and Shirley Bohn.



Friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 7 pm at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 E. Main St., Batavia. His funeral Mass will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, May 6, 2013 at Resurrection Parish - St. Mary's Church, 18 Ellicott Street, Batavia.
