Maxine A. P. Johnson, 71, of Batavia, died suddenly on Sunday, July 14, 2013 at United Memorial Medical Center, in Batavia. She was a nurse's aide at the Batavia Nursing Home for 30 years prior to her retirement and a school crossing guard in Batavia for 25 years.



Miss Johnson was born July 15, 1941 in Batavia, a daughter of the late Lynn and Eleanor (Warren) Johnson.



She was a graduate of Batavia High School, member of St. James Episcopal Church for 56 years and Cursillo Community of Western New York.



Survivors include a sister, Sheila (Daryl) Mulwane of Bainbridge; a brother: Lynn LeVan (Mildred) Johnson II of Watertown; several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.



She is predeceased by her sister Priscilla Hall.



Friends may attend services at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. James Episcopal Church, 405 E. Main St., Batavia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for distribution to her favorite charities. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in East Pembroke at a later date. Arrangements were completed by H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., Batavia.
