Batavia - Mrs. Mary Ellen Carlson, 90, of Batavia, formerly of Ogden, alumni of Houghton College, passed away on Saturday November 17, 2012 at the Genesee County Nursing Home.
Born November 15, 1922 in Hedgesville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence and Helen Pierce Perry.
She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Carlson; two daughters, Kay Lynette (Lowell) Ling of Batavia and Janice Marie Clapsaddle of Portland, Oregon; her sister, Elva Pillsbury of Boston, Mass. and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Velma Monahan and Doris Perry and wife of the late Howard Clapsaddle who died in 1964.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Please consider memorials to the Genesee County Nursing Home, 278 Bank Street, Batavia, New York 14020. Burial will be in East Bethany Cemetery, East Bethany.
