LaRue V. Tanner
Oakfield - LaRue V. Tanner, 76, of Oakfield, an Eastman Kodak Co., employee for 20 years prior to her retirement, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at United Memorial Medical Center, in Batavia.
Mrs. Tanner was born December 15, 1935 in Penn Run, PA, a daughter of the late Milton and Cecil (Boring) Paul.
She attended the Calvary Baptist Church and enjoyed crossword puzzles, Gene Autry western movies and classic country music.
She is survived by her husband, William E. Tanner, whom she married June 12, 1955; 5 children, Edward M. Tanner, Teresa L. Tanner and Regina L. Tanner all of Oakfield; Michael A. Tanner of Hornell and Milton H. (Deborah) Tanner of Bath; 2 brothers, Oliver Paul of TX, Clarence Paul of OH; 2 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Cora Moore, Alice Pounds, Mary Paul, Thelma Clawson, Albert Paul and Harold Paul.
Friends may call on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Ave., Oakfield, where services will follow at 12 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Genesee Senior Foundation, 2 Bank St, Batavia, NY 14020. Burial will be in Cary Cemetery, Oakfield.
