Castile - Mr. Kenneth Laverne Brown, 86, of Castile, 35-year employee at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2013 at Wyoming County Community Hospital.
Mr. Brown was born October 25, 1926 in Byron, a son of the late Harold and Elizabeth Stackhouse Brown.
He was an avid sports fan who was a former coach in youth baseball leagues.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Helen Criger Brown; two daughters, Karen (Kenneth) Geedy and Lorraine (late Peter) Heidengren, both of Englewood, Florida; three grandsons, Jeffrey (Amy) Kramarz of Perry, Travis (Kerri) Smith and Kenneth Kramarz, both of Stafford; four great-grandchildren, two sisters, Evelyn Waldo of Santa Clarita, California and Nancy Brownell of Pavilion; and nieces and nephews.
He is the brother of the late Martin and Joyce Brown.
Friends may call on Thursday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia, where services will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will be in North Byron Cemetery.
