Obituary of John S. Jaszko




ALABAMA - John S. Jaszko, 80, of Alabama, passed away Sunday, (March 29, 2020), at his home under the loving care of his family.



Mr. Jaszko was born December 9, 1939, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Joseph and Marie (Sterpka) Jatczynski, Sr.



He was an Iron Worker for 31 years prior to his retirement with the Ironworkers Local 33 in Rochester.  John was a social member of the American Legion Post #626 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and caring for his lawn.  Most of all, John cherished every moment spent with his family.



Surviving is his wife, Barbara (Weaver) Jaszko; children, John E. Jaszko of Brockport, Kim (late Mark) Weatherbee of Bennington, Jerry (Darla) Jaszko of Batavia, Sherry (Brian) Weaver of Alabama, Mark (Pam) Talbot of Fla., Lisa (Myron) Cramer of Alabama, Christine (Tom) Winslow of Fla., Earl E. Howard of Alabama, and Harold "Chipper" Howard of Alabama; brothers, Sam (Jeanette) Jatczynski, Joseph (Nancy) Jaszko, Jr., Rosemarie Mengs, Yvonne (late James) Welker, and Susan (late Gerald) Williams.  25 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.



John is preceded in death by two sons, Harold Talbot, Jr., and Robert (late Annette) Jaszko; a brother, Frank Jatczynski; and a sister, Irene Jatczynski.

There will be no visitation or services at this time.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Burial will be in Alabama Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's memory may be made to Volunteers for Animals, P.O. Box 1621, Batavia, New York 14021.
