Churchville - Mr. Jeffrey A. Martz, 64, of Churchville, died Sunday (September 16, 2012) at the St. Elizabeth Medical Center, in Utica.
Mr. Martz was born April 8, 1948 in Wyandotte, MI, a son of the late William and Ethel (Sliker) Martz.
Mr. Martz was a chef at the LeRoy Country Club and a former session member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bergen. A veteran, he served with the United States Coast Guard and was a member of the American Legion in Churchville. He sang with the Rochester Oratorio Society and enjoyed gardening and bowling.
Survivors include his wife, Christine (Rogers) Martz of Churchville; two sons, Scott (Melinda) Martz of Farmington and Kevin Martz of Churchville; a granddaughter, Arianna Martz; two brothers, Jonathan (Patty) Martz of Pittsburgh, PA and Larry Martz of West Bloomfield and several nieces and nephews.
He is a brother of the late Charles Martz and Karen Martz McLaughlin.
There are no prior calling hours. Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church of Bergen, 38 South Lake Street, Bergen. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
