Jane Amy Simonds, 63, of Batavia, passed away on January 16, 2022. Jane was born October 18,1958 in Penn Yan, a daughter of the late Gerald and Betty (Stratten) Hulbert. Jane was an independent contractor for the Buffalo News who could be seen in town making deliveries. Surviving are her son, James Simonds of Batavia; brothers, Joe (Sonya) Hulbert of Piffard, Gene Hulbert of Perry Center; sister, JoAnne (Late Frank) Leone of Avon; five grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her daughter, Chelsie Jo-Marie Simonds; brother, Gerald Hulbert, Jr. and a sister, Julia Kapelke. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street in Batavia, where Jane's services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Simonds family.
