Basom - Mr. James T. Murray, 91, of Basom, passed away on Monday, November 26, 2012 at his home.
Mr. Murray was born May 11, 1921 in Parma, a son of the late Martin and Helen Tobin Murray.
A lifelong farmer, he owned and operated his own farm on Gorton Road since 1957.
His wife, Dorothy L. Murray, passed away on September 26, 1992.
Surviving are his children, Alan (Amanda) Murray of Caledonia, Paul (Cindy) Murray of Tuttle, North Dakota, Gary (Pat) Murray of Basom and Diane (Frank) Land of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two brothers, Martin (Lois) Murray of Bergen and Gilbert (Patsy) Murray of Hilton; two sisters, Helen Anderson of Churchville and Irene (Jack) Johnson of Rochester; two brothers-in-law, Edward Smith of Kendall and Ralph Barbero of Chili; twelve grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his brother William Murray and sisters, Anna Anderson, Alice Smith and Ethel Barbero.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield, where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Alabama Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
