Rochester - Mr. Jack DeRose, 87, of Rochester, died Wednesday (February 6, 2013) at the Unity Living Center in Rochester.
Mr. DeRose was born June 22, 1925 in Batavia, a son of the late John and Rosina (Meleca) DeRose.
A veteran, he served with the United States Navy and was a construction worker in Rochester.
He is survived by a sister, Constance Marie (Ralph J.) Scarson; a brother-in-law and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours are Monday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main St., Batavia. Prayers will be held at the conclusion of calling hours. His Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:00 p.m. also on Monday at Resurrection Parish - St. Joseph's Church, 303 East Main Street, Batavia. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia.
