Mr. Howard W. Lewis, 91, of Batavia, died Tuesday (July 17, 2012) at the Genesee County Nursing Home in Batavia.
Mr. Lewis was born April 27, 1921 in Bethany, a son of the late Evan and Persis (Chapman) Lewis.
He was a millwright at Lapp Insulator in LeRoy and also worked at Adessa in Clarence.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Lewis of Batavia; a daughter, Linda Rindell of Corfu; two sons, Keith Lewis of Batavia and Richard (Diane) Lewis of Pavilion; a sister, Clara Lewis of Geneva. Grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive.
He is predeceased by a son, Walter Lewis, a daughter, Karen Rindell and two brothers, Alfred Lewis and Donald Lewis.
There are no prior calling hours. Services will be held at the convenience of the family at Maplelawn Cemetery, Bethany. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
