Obituary of Gertrude A. Woodring PITTSFORD - Gertrude A. Woodring, 98, of Pittsford, formerly of Batavia, passed away Tuesday, (June 30, 2020), at the Atria Senior Living Center in Penfield. Mrs. Woodring was born December 20, 1921, in Batavia,a daughter of the late Dominic and Rose (Sce) Marone. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Woodring; brothers, Frank, Louis, Angelo, and Joseph Marone; sisters, Mary Cina, Virginia Sanfrantello, and Ann Mandia. Gertrude is survived by her sons, Patrick (Peggy) Woodring of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Donald (Christine) Woodring of Pittsford, and Ronald (Paul Birkby) Woodring of Rochester; a daughter, Suzanne (James) Spiecher of Pittsford; a brother Patrick Marone of Rochester; a daughter-in-law Georgia Woodring of Pittsford. 13 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren also survive. The Woodring family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of Atria Senior Living, especially Galina, for the wonderful care provided to Gertrude. There will be no visitation. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Ascension Parish with Fr. David Glassmire officiating. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum in Batavia. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gertrude's memory may be made to Camp Good Days, PO Box 665, 1332 Pittsford-Mendon Rd., Mendon, NY 14506 as well as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorial Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959. Arrangements were entrusted to the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, Batavia.
