Batavia - Frank D. Yasses, Sr., 86, of Batavia, passed on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at his home in Batavia.
Frank was born June 25, 1932 in Batavia, a son of the late Frank and Wanda (Stachowski) Yasses.
Frank loved fishing, trapping, hunting and woodworking and passed his love of these on to his grandchildren through teaching. He retired after 30 years from Graham Manufacturing in Batavia and served with the United States Army from 1953 to 1955.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (Tatarka) Yasses of Batavia; children, Frank Yasses, Jr. of Batavia, Noreen (Dan) Sage of Batavia, Sharon Dobbs of Ogdensburg and Ann (Clif) Drum of Texas,; two brothers, Edwin Yasses of Stafford and Leonard "Butch" Yasses of Batavia; one sister, Jean Taddei of Oakfield; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Frank his predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
There are no prior calling hours and services will be private.
