LeRoy- F. Irene Blake, 86, of LeRoy, formerly of Palm Coast, Fl, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, (September 19, 2012) at the LeRoy Village Green Nursing Facility.



Mrs. Blake was born December 19, 1925 in Fulton, a daughter of the late David and Elizabeth (Howard) Griffiths.



Irene had recently relocated to LeRoy from her home of 24 years in Palm Coast, Fl. She was a faithful member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Palm Coast. She loved to play cards and was an outstanding baker. She was a former member of the Cosmopolitan Club in Allentown, PA. Mrs. Blake enjoyed singing, and was a member of several church choirs over the years. She also greatly enjoyed entertaining people for dinner.

She is the wife of the late Donald J. Blake who passed away in 1996. They spent 51 wonderful years together.



Irene is survived by her sons, Douglas (Grace) Blake of Kingwood, TX, and David (Donna) Blake of Stafford; grandchildren, Brendan (Shauna) Blake of Byron, Karen Blake and Kathryn (Scott) Chapman, both of TX; a brother-in-law, Edward Drake of PA. Several nieces and nephews also survive.



Mrs. Blake is preceded in death by her brother, John (late Mary) Griffiths, and sisters, Marie Drake and Jean (late Richard) Oberg.



There will be no prior visitation. Graveside services will be held on October 17 at 11:00 AM in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Trinity Presbyterian Church, 156 Florida Park Drive North, Palm Coast, Fl, 32137. Burial will be in Mt. Adnah Cemetery, Fulton. Arrangements have been entrusted to the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 E. Main St., Batavia (585) 343-8868.
