Pittsford - Evelyn E. Makowac, 88, formerly of Oakfield, a retired employee at Shuron Optical Co. in Rochester, died Sunday, April 8, 2012 at Highland Living Center, in Pittsford.
Miss Makowac was born December 27, 1923 in ,Akron, NY, a daughter of the late Joseph and Antoinette (Aunders) Makowac.
She was a member of St. Cecelia's Church in Oakfield, Volunteered at the Methodist Thrift Shop, participated in the Senior Center programs and enjoyed their senior trips. She was active in her church and enjoyed participating in church events.
Survivors include a brother, Joseph (Barbara) Machove of Florida; 2 nieces, Phyllis Masters and Emily Parker, both of Rochester, 2 nephews, George C. (Jayne) Collazo of Darien and Richard (Lynn) Machove of Florida; several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews.
She was the sister of the late Mary L. Hill and Catherine Collazo.
