    Eudocio Vazquez

    March 20, 1939 - December 24, 2020

    Oakfield - Eudocio Vazquez, 81 of Oakfield, passed away on Thursday, (December 24, 2020) at The Highlands at Brighton Nursing Facility in Rochester. Mr. Vazquez was born March 20, 1939 in Salinas, Puerto Rico a son of the late Vidal (late Eugenia) Vazquez and the late Conception Rivera. He was a former member of St. Padre Pio Parish and loved anything outside. Eudocio was an avid hunter and fisherman. Eudocio is the husband of the late Edna (Osterstuck) Vazquez who passed away on May 7, 2020. He is survived by his children, Anna (Joseph) Salone of Rochester, Connie (Russell Blumer) King of Batavia, Mary Davis of Batavia, Sarah Kreutz of Byron, Ashley Kreutz of Byron, and Adam Kreutz of Batavia; brothers, William Vazquez of Puerto Rico, Gabriel Vazquez, Miguel (Soraida) Vazquez, and Felipe (Rosalie) Vazquez all of Buffalo; sisters, Mina Vazquez of Puerto Rico, Lucy Garcia of Buffalo, Judith (late Bruce) Coleman of Puerto Rico, Maria (Edwin) Vazquez, Margarita Vazquez, Ana Cajigas, and Crusita Flythe all of Buffalo, and Martina (Ivan) Sanchez of Florida; a sister-in-law, Sharon Vazquez of Texas. 21 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Mr. Vazquez is preceded in death by a brother, Jose "Cookie" Vazquez; and a sister, Ada Vazquez. There will be no visitation. A private graveside service will be held in St. Cecilia's Cemetery in Oakfield with Fr. Thaddeus Bocianowski officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, WNY Chapter, 6215 Sheridan Drive, Suite 100, Amherst, NY 14221. Arrangements were entrusted to the H.E. Turner & Co.
