Buffalo - Mr. Drew Spikes, III, age 67, of Batavia, passed from this life on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the Erie County Medical Center.
Drew was born October 1, 1945 in Pace, Mississippi, a son of the late Drew, Jr. and Jannie Lee Jackson Spikes.
Surviving are his children, Matthew and Karim, Sasha Spikes of Buffalo, Christy McEwen of Niagara Falls and Michael McEwen of Buffalo; three brothers, Oliver Spikes of Batavia, Melvin Spikes of North Carolina and Levi Spikes of Brockport; two sisters, Jennie Saab of Batavia and Olivia Brown of Elba; a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
He was predeceased by his son, Jason Drew Spikes in 2001.
There are no prior visiting hours. Drew's Home Going will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 403 East Main Street, Batavia with the Rev. Dr. James Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Batavia.
