Farmington -Denise Y. Schaller, 60, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness, on July 9, 2018 at her home in Farmington. Denise was born on July 21, 1957 to the late James R. Majors Sr. of Rochester and the late Claudine V. (Meney) Majors of Batavia.

Denise was a graduate of Notre Dame High School in Batavia, and the State University of New York College at Brockport. Denise began her 40 years of service to the community as the operator of the former Kiddie Korral Day Care Center in Batavia. She later worked as a social worker and crisis counselor. For the last decade she was a highly sought after public speaker who provided organizational development training to thousands of public service workers across New York State through her firm, Schaller Solutions.

She is survived by her children, Joni Schaller and Pamela Schaller, both of Buffalo; grandchildren Romello and Matthias Williams of Buffalo and Philomena Burger of Perry; brothers James Majors of Baltimore, Md. and Stephen Majors (Todd Leavitt) of Takoma Park, Md.; aunt, Constance Alexander of Batavia; uncle, Hunter Alexander of Batavia; nieces and nephews including Sarah Millman of Towson, Md., Rick Majors (Megan) of Phoenix, Ariz, Jamie Siangco (Malia) of Hawaii; Michael Hixenbaugh of Lockport; Claudia and Shoshana Leavitt-Majors of Takoma Park, Md,; close cousins Colleen Ware of Oakfield, Sean Alexander of Alexandria, Va.; Santa Majors of Batavia, Gordon Shillea of Batavia; loving in-laws from the extended Schaller and Meyers family, along with life-long friends and former and current colleagues who made up Denise's large and loving community.

She was predeceased by her husband Howard Schaller and brothers Richard Majors and Michael Majors.
Friends may call on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at H.E. Turner & Co, Inc. Funeral Home, 403 East Main St., Batavia. Denise's Funeral Service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, (July 17, 2018) at City Church, 210 East Main Street, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make a memorial donation in Denise's name to their local food bank. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery, Attica.
