Daniel H. Culver, 48, of Byron, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday (December 11, 2013) doing what he does best, helping others.
Mr. Culver was born June 28, 1965 in Rochester, a son of the late Earl N. and Lydia (Naum) Culver.
He is a 3rd Degree Master Mason of the Hesperus Lodge 837 in Bergen, a court constable for the Bergen Town Court, AMC Matador collector, owner of Bud Valley Camp Ground and a security guard at Brockport Central School for over 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy (Bush) Culver of Byron; a son, James (Alona) Dykstra-Culver of Byron; a daughter, Nichole (Ryan Shumway) Aumick of Batavia; four granddaughters, Cynthia, Lydia, Pearl and Diamond; a brother, David E. Culver of Bergen; two sisters, Deborah R. Culver of Bergen and Dawn (Terry) Speed of Byron; his Godmother, Eleanor Filowick of Churchville; his childhood friend, John Roe of LeRoy; nieces, nephews, many dear friends he called family also survive along with all his favorites, but don't tell anyone.
He is predeceased by his Godfather, George Filowick, a life-long friend, Buddy Filowick and his mother-in-law, Clarice Bush.
Calling hours are Sunday from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the H.E. Turner & Co. Funeral Home, 51 South Lake Street, Bergen. Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
