Batavia - Constance T. Kachelmeyer, age 86, of Batavia, longtime resident of Oakfield, passed away Wednesday, November 14, 2012 at United Memorial Medical Center.



She was born November 4, 1926 in Batavia to the late John J. and Ethel Green Burns.



Her husband of 62 years, Robert E. Kachelmeyer, passed away October 27, 2010.



She is survived by her loving children: Robert Timothy (Lani) Kachelmeyer and Michael Burns Kachelmeyer, both of Massachusetts; Jill Klotzbach of Batavia and Robyn (Larry) Gage of Pittsford and ten grandchildren: Michael, Kristopher (Jennifer) and Ashley Kachelmeyer; Kalen, Melissa and Tyler Burns; Matthew Klotzbach and Emily, Katherine and Mary Gage; two great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law, Earl (Rita) Kachelmeyer of Oklahoma; a sister-in-law, Jane Burns of Virginia and many nieces and nephews.



She was the sister of the late Marion (William) Montague, Frances (Arthur) Passlow, Ruth (Cecil) Dickinson, John "Jack" Burns, and Barbara (William) Connolly.



She was a member of Saint Padre Pio Parish in Oakfield and a former member of the Altar and Rosary Society.



Early on she was employed as a secretary at Frey Brothers Ford and Meiser Chevrolet. Prior to her retirement she served as Oakfield Town Clerk.



Friends may call on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Saint Padre Pio Parish - St. Cecilia's Worship Site, 56 Maple Avenue, Oakfield. She will be laid to rest in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. Please consider memorials to the Oakfield Historical Society and Saint Padre Pio Parish.
