Jeanette M. Baiocco

Batavia - Mrs. Jeanette M. Baiocco, age 87, of Batavia, retired secretary for the Genesee County Department of Social Services in Batavia, died Monday, April 7, 2008 at the Genesee County Nursing Home.

Mrs. Baiocco was born September 22, 1920 in Oakfield, the daughter of the late Louis and Emma Ianni Santelli.

Mrs. Baiocco was a member of St. Anthony's Church. She enjoyed traveling, bowling and playing cards. A New York Yankee baseball fan, Mrs. Baiocco will be remembered as a great mom who loved her grandkids.

Her husband, Louis Baiocco died March 11, 1954.

Survivors include two sons, John (Serena) Baiocco and Robert L. Baiocco, both of Batavia; five grandchildren, Cheryle (Jon) Miller of Tennessee, Deborah (Ken) Cartwright of Perry, John (Joann) Baiocco of Batavia, Robert J. Baiocco and Nicole Baiocco, both of Oregon; twelve great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.

Friends may call on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the Bohm-Calarco-Smith Funeral Home, 308 East Main Street, Batavia. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony's Church, 122 Liberty Street, Batavia.  Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Batavia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family to distribute to various charities.
