Batavia - Miss Catherine Strollo, 92, of Batavia, a retired employee of the VA Medical Center, Batavia, died Monday, (July 12, 2010) at the Genesee County Nursing Home.

Miss Strollo was born July 9, 1918 in Batavia, the daughter of the late Frank and Philomena (Del Plato) Strollo.

She was a lifetime member of Ascension Parish - St. Anthony's Church.

Survivors include two special nieces, Judy (Eric) Olson and Gloria Jean (Pierluigi) Cipollone, a special nephew, Frank (Grace) Strollo and a sister-in-law, Virginia Strollo, all of Batavia. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, great and great great nieces and nephews.

Miss Strollo was the sister of the late Michael, Umbardo, Ralph and Anna Strollo.

There will be no prior visitation.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 AM, Wednesday at Ascension Parish, St. Anthony's Church, 122 Liberty St., Batavia.  Memorials may be made to the Church. Entombment will be in St. Joseph's Mausoleum.
