Oakfield - Mr. Donald A. Falker, 81, of Oakfield, an employee of the Genesee County Highway Department for 30 years, died Friday, April 27, 2012 at Medina Memorial Health Care System.

Mr. Falker was born March 31, 1931 in Alabama, New York, a son of the late Alva W.  and Mary  Storey Falker.

A longtime farmer in Oakfield, he was a member of the former Oakfield Grange and was an avid hunter. He enjoyed working on his tractors on his farm and in the woods.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary L. Roth Falker; his children, Stephen Falker and Barbara (Marcus) Falker-Crandall, both of Oakfield, Timothy Falker of Newark and Donna (Kyle) Harris of Oakfield; a brother, Loren Falker of Corfu; a sister, Delores Diver of North Pembroke; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was the father of the late Penny Falker who died in 1980 and Jeffrey Falker who died in 2011 and brother of the late William Falker, Robert "Dutch" Falker and Anna Falker.

Friends may call on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Burdett & Sanford Funeral Home, 11 Maple Avenue, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, please consider memorials to the Oakfield Fire Department, P.O. Box 184, Oakfield, New York 14125.  Burial will be in Evergreen Hill Cemetery, Corfu.
