Oakfield - Mrs. Margo "Sissy" Vanderkooi, 62, of Oakfield, a devoted mother and grandmother, died Tuesday, (July 13, 2010) at the United Memorial Medical Center.

Mrs. Vanderkooi was born March 12, 1948 in Wallacetown, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Thomas and Lucille (Fotheringham) Waye.

Survivors include her husband, Norman Vanderkooi of Oakfield; her three children, Rhonda (Joe) Barone of Batavia, Ronald (Theresa Osborne) Vanderkooi of Basom and Dawn Vanderkooi of Oakfield; a brother, James (Janice) Waye of Oregon; two sisters, Patty (George) Scott of Oregon and Martha Beechler of Oakfield; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by a sister, Thomasine Spencer.  

There are no prior calling hours and services will be private.  Memorials may be made to the family.
