Pearl R. Totten

Elba - Mrs. Pearl R. Totten, 85, a retired employee at G.T.E. Sylvania, died Tuesday, (July 13, 2010) at United Memorial Medical Center, following a brief illness.

Mrs. Totten was born March 28, 1925 in Hume, a daughter of the late Clifford and Marie Blowers Wood.

Mrs. Totten attended the Elba Presbyterian Church.  She loved to crochet blankets for her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed her annual trips for pancakes at Shortrack, NY and vacations at Black Lake.  She was a gardener and bird watcher.

Survivors include a son, Allan (Cheryl) Totten of Elba; two brothers, Lyman (Mary) Wood of Indiana and Clayton (Trish) Wood of Wayland; 5 grandchildren; 13 Great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Her husband, the late Calvin Totten died in 1986. She was the mother of the late Barbara J. Moore, grandmother of the late Douglas A. Moore and sister of the late Harold and Hazel Wood and Nina McDowell.
